H&M Haul!

Hey guys,
First off I would like to apologize to my few blog viewers who have been hounding me via e-mail to post more. It's just that with moving to a new city and all, I've been busy unpacking, redecorating, and learning about the neighbourhood. So in a sincere apology, I present all of you with a haul! Now I'm not trying to brag or offend anyone, (I actually maxed out my debit card buying all of this!) so if this does bug you, just hit the little red X button in the top corner. So without further ado, I present my H&M haul!

First up is a pair of shoes that were pretty cheap, at only $29.99! But when I saw that there was only 1 pair,  my heart immediately sank. What are the odds of them being a 6? That's like the most common shoe size in the universe! But when I went to check the size anyway, it was obviously meant to be, and I knew, that those shoes are mine! As for comfort, they are relatively comfy, but the edges can sometimes dig in. On a separate note, the outside is suede, if you couldn't tell from the photo. This was definitely a match made in heaven!

Nothing that surprising about this skirt. I think the main reason I got it was because it was only $15, and the fact that I shockingly had no black skirts. (shocking huh?)

This cardigan is incredibly soft and comfy! I think it was $30, but I can't really remember.( I think my brain is going numb from me sleeping all day!) I decided to get it 2 sizes up so it was kind of slouchy, because I don't think I need a 4th fitted grey cardigan!

I absolutely LOVE this top! And I just adore the combination of a plain nude top with glittery sequins! I think it was $20-$40 for those of you wondering. (ok, I KNOW my brain is going numb!) Though since didn't have my size I have to wear it with a bandeau or cami underneath. Oh well, nothing is perfect!

The last thing I got was a pair of cheap sunglasses, I would  have asked my mom if she would split the cost for aviators, (the real ones) but she was grouch from spending just under 400 dollars for my real glasses!

Well, I would like to say thank you to those of you who read all of this, and I hope that you will tune in to my rantings next time! :D

Moving.

Moving is crazy. To some it's crazy fun, and to others it's I-want-to-rip-my-hair-out-and-scream crazy. For me, it's crazy exhausting. In fact, whenever me and my family move, I get sick. This time I got strep throat. But there is one thing about moving that I love: Re-designing my room. Almost every time we move, I get to redo my room, which is great for me, because I plan to be an interior designer. So far I have painted my room, assembled the bed, lamps, and nightstand, spray painted a stool, sanded my old desk, and unrolled a big rug, as well as hung up curtains and a curtain rod. Almost entirely by myself. Oh, and I also put together a giant vanity for me to use to put in my contact lenses, earrings, and do my hair. And it was not easy. Do you like moving? Do you like furniture shopping? Maybe furniture assembling? Or perhaps painting? Leave me a response at daffodildina@gmail.com!

Vintage Style Clothing.

So the other day me and my mom were cleaning out our closets and something of hers caught my eye. It was a lace Ivory button down that was too tight on her arms.(And frankly, a bit tight on mine too!) And I decided to keep it for myself. So the next day on a ferry ride over to our soon to be new home, I wore it with a white bandeau, white shorts, and my new beige ALDO flats. And I had my bangs pinned up, and the rest of my hair in a tight bun, and faded cherry lips. And before I forget, I also wore my favourite navy blue watch. Some people thought I looked old and cheap, and others thought I looked elegant and sophisticated. So what's your opinion on vintage clothing? Do you hate it, or is it a summer must have?

Delicious Buttermilk Recipe!

I was about to make myself a cup of my special nightime-exotic-but-homey-chai tea, when I saw there was buttermilk in the fridge. And buttermilk with sugar in it is just sooooo good, so I made myself a cup, but then decided to spice it up:

1 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons sugar
3 drops of pure vanilla extract
1 drop of red food colouring
1 teaspoon of crushed up mint

And when I mixed it together, it was delicious!

Hawaiian Nail Art!

So today I got out my nail polish and decided to come up with a design. So here's what I got:

1. Paint on a good base coat.
2. Paint on 2 coats of red nail polish.
3. Take a toothpick dipped into white nail polish and make 5 dots going in a circle on the nail.
4. After about 10 seconds take the other end of the toothpick and drag from the middle of each dot inwards.
5. Repeat all over nails.
6. Paint on a good topcoat.
7. Your done!

Lemonade Business Bankruptcy.

Never trust your self when it comes to business. Today I suffered through a huge disappointment when all my hard work was once again, destroyed. But let me start from the beginning. Yesterday I had an idea to start a lemonade stand to get my mom this COACH necklace for $78. (pic at bottom) So I stayed up until 2 am painting a big poster, fixing my printer, and printing out, as well as designing flyers. Then when the day came, I loaned $20 form my mom, $20 from a great friend, and spent $10 from the debit card that holds my allowance to buy ice, lemons, sugar, berries and mint, and 5 pitchers, as well as cups, for my lemonade stand. Then I invited one of my great BFFs, Inbar, to help with my stand. So me and Inbar spent a good 2 hours making fresh lemonade, in different flavours so we could amuse our customers. Then we ran into problems transporting everything to our local park, so we borrowed one of those kiddy car things from our neighbours. But then, we were passing by a bump, a horrible, tween hating bump, and as we were passing the bump, everything fell over. EVERYTHING. The lemonade, the posters, EVERYTHING! And EVERYTHING got soaked. So now I cannot get my mom her necklace, because I owe money that I could never pay off before her birthday while raising enough money to also buy her the necklace. So I have learned, to take the cheap way out, and buy the in a can lemonade, and then make it in the community centre's washroom, and serve it off of the stairs. Because no amount of money, can fill the disappointment that I experienced when everything became ruined, and gone for good.  Business is a tough world kids.

ALDO Shoe Haul!

A couple of days a go I got some summer shoes from ALDO because they are having a HUGE sale! Here are my reviews on the shoes, as well as shipping:

CHACKO: Is a brown leather sandal. The bottom is a very comfy and soft suede. I found these very comfortable and got the on sale for $30! Unfortunately, my toy poodle Bently found my right sandal yummy, so now I have to go get that fixed D:

ZINSER: Is a fabric ballet flat. It has a medium bow on the toe, and a heel with a rope texture. I found these uncomfy at first because i have bony feet and the edges digged in, but once they were worn in they are very comfortable. I got them for $30!

SOOS: Is a black lace ballet flat. They fit comfortably on me. You can also adjust the width of the toe with the shoe laces. I saw these in store and loved them, but they only had them in a size 8. (I'm a size 5 to 6, 35-36 european) So I took  a risk and had them shipped to my house. They were supposed to come in 3 to 6 business days, but actually came in only 2! They were also well package in a box, with bubble wrap, and a thick envelope thing.  I got them for $20 with free shipping, and a 10% off my next purchase at Aldo card. And if they don't fit or I don't like them I can return them free!

In summary, I give CHACKO 5 stars, because they are super comfy, stylish, and a great price! I give ZINSER 4 stars, because it is so beautiful, but a bit uncomfy. And I will give SOOS 5 stars, because I love the style, (It is pointed toe by the way) the price was great, and they did a fabulous job on shipping! Congratulations another successful season ALDO!
